Senior Test Engineer | £600/day Inside IR35 | Manchester / Leeds (Hybrid/Remote – 1x per week maximum onsite)

We’re looking for a Senior Test Engineer (Contract) to support a greenfield project focused on integrating AI-driven inspection technology. The role will involve shaping QA strategy, driving automation, and embedding best practices across the delivery lifecycle. You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure quality is baked into every stage of development.

Location: Manchester / Leeds (Hybrid/Remote – 1x per week maximum onsite)
Type: Contract – Inside IR35
Day Rate: £600/day

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement QA strategy across a complex integration project

• Lead the adoption of automation frameworks and performance testing tools

• Build and maintain test pipelines within a CI/CD environment

• Mentor teams, embed QA best practices, and influence senior stakeholders

• Drive continuous improvement in testing and release processes

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong consultative background – proven experience driving QA change across large or complex organisations

• Deep hands-on experience with automation tooling (Playwright, Cypress, K6, Selenium, etc.)

• Strong grasp of load testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps cultures

• A confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels

• A hands-on mindset combined with the ability to think strategically
