Senior Software Engineer – .NET 8 | £550/day Inside IR35 | Manchester (Hybrid/Remote – 1x per week maximum onsite)

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Contract) to join a greenfield project focused on building integrations for an AI-driven inspection platform. The work will help automate manual processes, accelerate turnaround times, and improve pricing accuracy through data cross-referencing.

Location: Manchester/ Leeds (Hybrid/Remote – 1x per week maximum onsite)
Type: Contract – Inside IR35
Day Rate: £550/day

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable integrations between AI inspection systems and existing platforms

• Build and maintain microservices in .NET 8 with AWS

• Cross-reference inspection data with existing documentation, quotes, and pricing

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery of new features

• Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability through best practices (CI/CD, TDD, DevOps)

Technical Stack:

• Backend: .NET 8, AWS Lambda, ECS, EKS

• Databases: SQL/NoSQL (DynamoDB, Aurora, DocumentDB – MongoDB experience a bonus)

• Event-Driven Systems: Kafka, AWS MSK, EventBridge, SNS/SQS

• DevOps & Infrastructure: Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker

• Frontend: React

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong commercial experience in .NET (ideally .NET 8) and AWS

• Solid understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures

• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases

• Background working on complex integrations in an agile environment

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
