Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Opportunity

Our client is an enterprise SaaS business delivering large-scale, user-centric products across multiple domains in the UK and international markets. Their platforms underpin a wide array of high-demand digital services used by thousands of customers daily.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a Senior Frontend Engineer to take a leading role in the design and development of complex, performant web applications using Angular and TypeScript. You won’t be handed fixed specs and expected to execute—you’ll be deeply involved in shaping technical strategy, collaborating with product teams, and solving meaningful user and architectural challenges.

With modern tooling, continuous delivery practices, and a strong emphasis on code quality, this is a position that offers both technical ownership and long-term growth.

About the Role

You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team working on a modern, component-driven frontend architecture. The business is currently investing in the evolution of its platform—this includes improving modularisation, scalability, state management, performance, and design consistency across its applications.

The role will suit someone who not only enjoys writing elegant, maintainable code, but also wants to influence architectural standards and contribute to a broader engineering culture focused on continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building and maintaining production-grade Angular applications within a modular frontend architecture

  • Contributing to UI and state architecture decisions, helping evolve engineering standards

  • Collaborating with designers, product owners, and backend engineers to develop high-quality user experiences

  • Driving code quality through clean, testable code and frequent code reviews

  • Working with modern CI/CD pipelines to deliver incremental improvements quickly and safely

  • Mentoring and guiding other engineers as the team continues to scale

Key Skills & Experience

We’re particularly keen to speak to engineers with the following:

  • Strong commercial experience in Angular and TypeScript

  • Proficiency in SCSS/SASS or equivalent CSS pre-processors

  • Solid understanding of component-based architecture and modular application structures

  • Experience with RxJS and reactive programming patterns

  • Understanding of state management libraries such as NgRx or similar

  • Familiarity with frontend testing tools (e.g. Cypress, Playwright)

  • Experience working within CI/CD environments (GitHub Actions or similar)

  • A pragmatic approach to technical decision-making, balancing delivery and long-term maintainability

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Bonus points if you’ve worked with:

  • Nx or similar tooling for managing monorepos or federated frontend codebases

  • UX-focused engineering practices or component libraries

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to shape the architecture and frontend direction of a major SaaS platform

  • Work alongside experienced engineers in a supportive, product-led environment

  • Dedicated weekly time for learning, R&D, and continuous improvement

  • Hybrid working model: 2 days a week in the Manchester office, with flexibility otherwise

  • Generous benefits including bonus, 23 days holiday (+ public holidays), wellness day, birthday off, volunteering day, and more

  • Clear scope for career progression in an expanding, well-funded engineering team

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for engineers who are thoughtful, curious, and ambitious—people who care about clean code, scalable architecture, and building products that last. If you’re looking for your next challenge in a modern SaaS environment where you can have a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
