Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack (.NET & React)

Location: Manchester or Leeds (Hybrid – Up to 2 days in-office)
Salary: Up to £85,000 + 10–20% Bonus

An opportunity to lead from the front in a true hands-on capacity - steering the build of a next-generation, enterprise-scale platform from scratch.

Our client, a global enterprise organisation, is undergoing a major greenfield transformation initiative. They are rebuilding one of their core digital platforms from the ground up and are seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to guide the engineering effort across both architecture and implementation.

You’ll lead a squad of experienced developers, set technical direction, and work cross-functionally to deliver high-performance, scalable cloud-native solutions in a modern environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the design and delivery of a large-scale platform using .NET and React.

• Collaborating closely with product, architecture, DevOps, and QA teams.

• Driving engineering excellence, clean architecture, and hands-on development.

• Mentoring and guiding a team of engineers through best practices.

• Helping shape the technology roadmap and making strategic technical decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with .NET (ideally .NET 6 or 8) and React in a production environment.

• Commercial experience leading or mentoring development teams.

• Proven background in building modern, scalable systems on AWS.

• Infrastructure-as-Code knowledge (Terraform preferred).

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture (e.g. EventBridge, SNS/SQS).

• Passion for high-quality, secure, and maintainable code.

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, REST APIs

• DevOps & CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Infrastructure-as-Code
