This is not just a role; it’s a defining career move, a chance to build something game-changing from the ground up, in a high-impact position where your expertise will set the foundation for the future.

Why This Role?

  • A True Leadership Position – Shape the strategic vision for service design across a brand-new, cutting-edge digital ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

As the Lead Service Designer, you will take full ownership of service blueprinting, UX/UI execution, and research initiatives. You will play a critical role in bridging frontstage customer interactions with backstage operational complexities, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and innovative digital experience.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Blueprinting & Strategic Leadership – Define best-in-class service architectures, lead high-impact workshops, and co-create policies that scale.

  • End-to-End UX/UI Execution – Translate service blueprints into intuitive user experiences, crafting high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes (Figma, Adobe XD).

  • Research & Insight Synthesis – Use advanced research methods (contextual inquiries, SME interviews, persona development) to drive informed decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Act as a service design ambassador within agile teams, working closely with product, legal, operations, and data teams.

  • Scalable Design Advocacy – Develop reusable design frameworks and train teams to embed service design thinking at scale.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Service Designer in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

  • Deep expertise in service blueprinting, customer journey mapping, and end-to-end digital service transformation.

  • Strong UX/UI design skills, with experience in Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent.

  • Ability to simplify complexity, making large-scale digital services seamless and efficient.

  • Experience working within enterprise SaaS, fintech, logistics, or other regulated industries is a huge advantage.

  • Confident working in agile teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

The Practical Bits

  • Hybrid working – Manchester Piccadilly twice a week minimum.

  • International exposure – Expect occasional travel to Paris (around once a month).

  • Competitive package – £80k + strong benefits.
