Business Analyst (ITSM Fit Gap Analysis)

Location: Northampton (3 days onsite per week)
Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 3 months initial

A major player in the homeware industry is looking for a versatile Business Analyst to support ongoing IT change initiatives, with a key focus on conducting a fit-gap analysis for an ITSM replacement tool. This role offers variety, giving you the chance to work on structured project activity as well as smaller business-critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a fit-gap analysis for the new ITSM tool, aligning processes and requirements.

• Document current workflows and evaluate tool capabilities against business needs.

• Provide recommendations and clear documentation to support decision-making.

• Take ownership of smaller business analysis tasks and ad-hoc pieces of work.

• Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and drive outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven Business Analyst experience in IT-related projects.

• Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Cherwell, Remedy, or similar.

• Strong skills in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and process documentation.

• Adaptable approach, comfortable balancing structured project work with smaller tasks.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
